As President of Midland Surveying, Inc., Troy Hayes manages all phases of corporate management, business development, client negotiations, project planning / management, public hearings, coordination with governmental agencies, project design oversight, and business functions with the firm. He is the highest administrator and holds the definitive project and resource management role for all projects taken on by the firm.

As a Professional Surveyor, Mr. Hayes’ long tenure has earned him the proven reputation as an authority in the Land Surveying. His knowledge of the field is widespread and among the most respected in the Midwest. His strength lies in his ability to take charge of a situation and to accomplish the job methodically and accurately, given any geographic or topographic adversity.

Mr. Teale’s distinguished survey career is notable, not only for his level of professional survey experience, but also for his position as an expert in the field of surveying.

For over 36 years, John’s career has encompassed a large variety of land survey disciplines, mapping and GIS experience, business management principles and even providing education to other survey professionals. His experience and commitment to professionalism has positioned him as one of the most respected land surveying authorities in the Midwest.

With over 22 years of professional surveying experience, Rick Mattson, PLS has been responsible for numerous notable survey projects, including large and complicated boundary surveys for the Missouri Department of Conservation, wetland and easement surveys for government agencies, DNR corner restoration projects, Missouri Department of Transportation Cornerstone surveys, and countless surveys in the private sector.

He is responsible for 3 field survey crews dispatched daily from the St. Joseph, Missouri office. His responsibilities include research compilation and cataloging, project scheduling, analysis and review of field surveys, platting, and government corner registration.

As Partner and Surveying Project Manager for the Midland Surveying, Inc. office in Maryville, Adam is responsible for various projects at every level of service that Midland Surveying, Inc. specializes in. He provides a variety of professional services including static GPS control surveys, large boundary and topographic surveys, post-processing for Geographic Reference System projects, aerial control surveys and DOT corridor surveys.

His experience working closely with government agencies is extensive and evidenced by current and past contracts with the Missouri DNR, Missouri DOT, Iowa DNR, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Curtis McAdams is a Partner of Midland Surveying, Inc. and is a Project Manager at the St. Joseph office. On a daily basis, Curtis performs large ground based surveys, including cadastral, topographic, construction and control surveys. Some of Curtis’ notable survey responsibilities have included numerous boundary related projects for field surveys of over 20,000 acres of Wetland Easement Surveys for the NRCS in Missouri, Iowa and Kansas.

Curtis was also the Party Chief responsible for field surveys for the McKissick Island Boundary Survey completed for the states of Missouri and Nebraska. This survey resolved the 100-year disputed state line boundary between Missouri and Nebraska, was ratified and approved by the United States Congress and became a matter of U.S. Congressional Record. Most recently, Curtis has completed Airport Obstruction Surveys for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Jeff Anderson is a Field Party Chief and Professional Land Surveyor with Midland Surveying. Jeff has 16 years of surveying and mapping experience and has worked on numerous notable surveys throughout his career. Operating out of the Midland Surveying office in St. Joseph, Missouri, Jeff has most recently completed various topographic and cross section surveys for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District in Colorado, Washington and other locations throughout the Continental U.S.

As Field Party Chief, Jeff performs construction layout, architectural and engineering, and cadastral survey services on a daily basis. Jeff served as a Field Surveyor on various Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) contracts in Missouri and Kansas providing cadastral survey services to establish wetland reserve easement boundaries throughout both states.
